One of the key features of the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro systems is the ability to monitor glucose levels every five minutes, offering valuable insights into high and low glucose readings. Users can customize trend alerts on their smart devices and set up a secondary alert schedule for different times of the day. The app also provides customizable alert sounds, including a vibration-only option for glucose alerts. Additionally, the app ensures that critical alerts like urgent low levels cannot be muted for user safety.
Users can share their glucose data with up to ten followers in real-time using the Share feature, allowing them to monitor trends and patterns remotely. Health Connect enables data sharing with third-party health apps with a 3-hour delay. The app's Quick Glance feature lets users view their glucose data directly on the lock screen of their smart devices.
Integrating with Wear OS, the app also delivers glucose alerts and alarms to users' Wear OS smartwatches, ensuring continuous monitoring and timely notifications. Please note that certain features like Health Connect and additional alerts are not available in the Dexcom G6 Pro system.
